GORLOV
(1917-1987)
Nikolay Gorlov is an artist of expressive colourful still lives and landscapes. In 1938–1942 studied at Moscow Art Institute under the tutelage of S. Gerasimov and B. Ioganson. From 1936 became a participant of all major art exhibitions. He gained his official recognition for his works on the history and revolution topic, such as: “Winter Palace is Seized” (1947), “Hostile Whirlwinds” (1961), and “For the Power of Soviets” (1967) In 1963 his first solo exhibition was held in Omsk. His works are preserved at Moscow and regional museums of Russia.
